Carnegie Arts Center Smarter Entry Competition/Calls For Entry Login

The Garden Party at the Greenery, taking place Saturday, September 26, from 6-9 p.m., will feature a fine art exhibition and sale of works by artists from across our region, along with music, food, wine & beer — all in the lush setting of The Greenery Nursery & Garden Shop in downtown Turlock. The proceeds from this unique fundraising event support the operation of the Carnegie Arts Center, our premier regional arts center. The Garden Party Art Exhibition is a non-juried, all-inclusive venue to promote the work of regional artists in a variety of media.

You are invited to submit up to 4 pieces of original art for gallery areas situated throughout The Greenery’s beautiful grounds. The entry fee is $20 per piece; members of the Carnegie Arts Center may use the promo code CAC to receive a $5 discount on the per item fee.

Artists who submit 2 or more works for the exhibition will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the event. We encourage you to join us at the event to promote your work and spread the joy of collecting original art.

VALLEY FOCUS: en plein air

The annual Valley Focus exhibition in spring 2027 is a celebration of painting en plein air! Trough this open call for entries, we expect to identify 10-15 artists and include their work in a group exhibition in our beautiful Ferrari Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from February 16 – May 22, 2027.

About Faces

On view in the Carnegie Arts Center Lobby Gallery

February 2 – April 24, 2027

This juried exhibition will highlight artists who capture the uniqueness of faces & figures. Selected by juror Don Hall, an artist well known in the Central Valley for his self-portraits, the exhibition will feature approximately 50 works displayed throughout all three floors of the CAC. We expect to see a wide variety of media and styles that convey personalities, emotions & histories.

Submission Details

Works that have previously been exhibited at the Carnegie Arts Center will not be accepted. Figures, in addition to just faces, will be acceptable if clothed. Entries should all be submitted online through SmarterEntry.com. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2026.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of $20 for the first piece, $15 for each additional entry. CAC Members should use the promo code CAC when paying for entries to receive a $5 discount on each entry; for information on becoming a member, visit our website: CarnegieArtsTurlock.org. Membership status will be confirmed prior to acceptance of submissions using the discount.

Opened in 2011, one of only a handful of professional galleries and museums in the Central Valley, the Carnegie Arts Center in the City of Turlock is an institution that is both local and regional in its perspective.
