A Photographer's Place Smarter Entry Competition/Calls For Entry Login

When the sun sets, the world shifts. After Dark invites photographers to explore the mood, mystery, and hidden visual narratives of the nighttime hours. We are seeking photographic work that captures the atmosphere of twilight, deep night, and early dawn—where light, shadow, and silence reshape familiar environments.

We welcome all photographic genres and techniques—including digital, analog, long exposures, night street photography, low-light portraiture, astrophotography, abstract compositions, and conceptual work.

From the quiet and unseen to the strange and electric, we welcome photographs that reveal what exists after dark—and what can only be seen once the sun has gone down.

We invite submissions that interpret the theme broadly and personally. Literal nighttime imagery is welcome, but so are works that explore the emotional, psychological, symbolic, or metaphorical dimensions of darkness.

A Photographers Place is where photographers can learn and grow, exchange ideas freely, nurture their talents, and allow the photographic artist the space and the means to explore possibilities.

We invite photographers to submit work to any of our calls relating to the current theme. the calls are open to photographers of all levels, from emerging artists to seasoned professionals.

Selected work will be featured in our gallery space as well as our web gallery.
