Fire is an elemental force, but it is also an idea.
It exists beyond combustion—in moments of transformation, in acts of resistance, in desire, devotion, grief, memory, ritual, and renewal. It is both presence and absence; a source of illumination and a catalyst for change. It can be quiet, contained, or all-consuming.
For this exhibition, we invite photographic work that engages with FIRE as metaphor, condition, and experience rather than simply as subject matter. We are interested in images that consider the elemental through the psychological, the social, the environmental, or the poetic. We welcome work that reveals fire through gesture, light, atmosphere, color, landscape, portraiture, abstraction, or narrative—where the photograph evokes rather than describes.
We encourage submissions that embrace ambiguity, invite contemplation, and expand the possibilities of what this elemental force can signify.
