Black Earth Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of the New Bohemia Art District in Cedar Rapids, IA. The New Bohemia District is a historical area that includes the NewBo City Market, CSPS/Legion Arts - an international art and music venue, many restaurants, bars, artists’ studios and art galleries. Cedar Rapids has a long history of cultivating young artists like Grant Wood, Marvin Cone and Mauricio Lasansky. Black Earth Gallery continues this tradition specializing in emerging and professional artists showcasing multimedia paintings, abstracts, portraits, landscapes, photography, glass, ceramics, sculpture and street art. Owner, Anne Stamats, is an Art Consultant and an Art Rep for her stable of artists. Black Earth Gallery uses juried shows to expand their repertoire of artists used for corporate, business and personal art consulting projects.
